Privacy Policy

ExecFence is built to protect you, and to know as little about you as possible.

The short version

What it stores on your device

Only in your browser's own storage: your settings, and a history of warnings — the page's address (without anything after a ? or #), the time, which warning signs matched, a plain summary of what the command would do and which sites it contacts, and a one-way fingerprint of the command. Never the command text. You can view, export or delete this any time in ExecFence's settings. None of it leaves your device.

Reporting a page

Reporting is optional and only happens when you click. The Report panel in a warning opens Google Safe Browsing, Microsoft or Netcraft in a new tab. Google's form arrives with the scam page's address already filled in; you decide whether to send it, on their site and under their privacy policy. "Copy report" only puts a plain-text summary on your clipboard for you to send yourself. ExecFence sends nothing.

What it does not do

No analytics, no telemetry, no advertising, no third-party trackers. No selling or sharing of data — because none is collected. No remote code: everything it runs ships inside the package.

Permissions

ExecFence asks for one permission, storage, to keep the settings and history above. To catch the trap wherever it appears, it also runs on every page you visit, which Chrome describes at install as “Read and change all your data on all websites”. It uses that only to look for the scam pattern, on your own computer. It makes no network requests.
